The Magician: His Training and Work – W.E. Butler
“This book reveals in detail, for the first time, the training to be undergone by one who aspires to be a practitioner of the true Magical Art.” Third impression including 4 pages of black and white diagrams.
Condition: Good. Unclipped dust jacket stuck into protective cover and has shelf wear to the edges, bumping to the spine ends and corners as well as a small chip (quarter inch) from the front edge. The book itself has bumping to the spine ends and board corners. Slight grubby edges to the putty coloured boards. Gilt lettering to the spine is bright. Previous owners signature, year, and sigil to the front paste down and initials on the front endpaper. There is foxing to the edges of the text block, which occasionally intrudes onto the page, and the first and last couple of pages but otherwise the pages are flat and clean. The binding is tight.
