A Suggestive Inquiry into Hermetic Philosophy and Alchemy – Mary Anne Atwood

Published by William Tait, Belfast, UK in 1920. This is the revised third edition which is subtitled “with a dissertation on the more celebrated of the alchemical philosophers being an attempt towards the recovery of the ancient experiment of nature”. This book contains the photogravure portrait of the authoress, the introduction by Leslie Wilmshurst, and the appendix containing the memorabilia of M A Atwood.

Good condition. No dust jacket. The spine is sun bleached. General condition is commensurate with age; bumping to spine ends and board corners, shelf wear to board edges, fading to edges of boards, spotting to first few pages, creasing to some pages, endpaper of the rear board has torn at the spine edge. In general the pages are clean and flat with surprisingly little yellowing.
